John joined the firm in 2023 as Principal of Strategy and Operations. John leads the strategic growth of life settlement acquisitions, his responsibilities include identifying, pricing, structuring, and executing trade opportunities in the life industry. John has oversight on the ongoing portfolio management operations of the active policies for various clients ensuring the policies are performing at an optimal level. John also oversees the servicing operations team which handles day-to-day administration of the assets.
Prior to Institutional Life, John held multiple positions within Obra Capital (Vida Capital) including Managing Director of Portfolio Management, Head of Pricing and President of their servicing company Magna Servicing, LLC. Over his 11-year tenure at Obra, John was responsible for portfolio management, risk management and operations across $4+ billion of life-contingent assets. John graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.B.A. in Finance.
